Position Overview

We are hiring experienced Mobile & In-Shop Auto Detailers to handle consistent, high-quality detailing work. This is a 1099 contractor role with strong earning potential through base jobs and upsells.

Base Compensation (No Change)

You are paid per completed job:

Vehicle Size Upcharges

  •  Mid-Size SUV / Truck: + $25
  •  Full-Size SUV / Truck (Tahoe, Expedition, large trucks): + $50–$75
Condition-Based Upcharges

  •  Pet Hair Removal: + $25–$50
  •  Excessive Dirt / Heavy Soil: + $25–$75
  •  Sand / Deep Cleaning: + $25+
Upsell Commission (High Earning Potential)

  • 40% commission on ALL upsells
Common Upsells:

  •  Ceramic Coating 
  •  Paint Correction 
  •  Odor Removal 
  •  Interior Protection 
Example:
$400 upsell → $160 to you

Earning Potential

  •  2–5 jobs per day 
  • $150 – $500+ daily

Contractor Requirements

You must provide:

  •  All equipment (vacuum, extractor, pressure washer, etc.) 
  •  All chemicals and supplies 
  •  Reliable transportation (for mobile jobs)

  •  Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Black Optix Tint is a high-volume, fast-growing automotive restyling shop in Charlotte. We are expanding our detailing services and looking for experienced Auto Detailers to join us as 1099 independent contractors.

What You’ll Do

  •  Perform interior and exterior detailing on a variety of vehicles 
  •  Handle both mobile jobs and in-shop work
  •  Deliver high-quality results efficiently
  •  Communicate professionally with customers when needed 
  •  Identify and recommend upsell services (ceramic, deep clean, etc.) 
Compensation

  • Paid per job (not hourly)
  •  Typical earnings: $150 – $500+ per day
Base Pay Per Job:

  •  Mobile Interior/Exterior: $100
  •  Mobile Interior Only: $65
  •  In-Shop Interior/Exterior: $80
  •  In-Shop Interior Only: $40
Upsell Commission:

  • Earn 40% on all upsells
    •  Ceramic coating
